WHF Allusion scavenger hunt

Since its pretty obvious that compulsion loves their literary references, I thought we could collect them all in one spot and take note :) You should mention the line/idea and what its from.


Today I found an excerpt from MacBeth's Soliloquy from the Scottish play:

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage

And then is heard no more: it is a tale

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,

Signifying nothing. "

The name of the game 'We Happy Few' is taken from the St. Crispin's Day Speech in Henry V. You'll find a bit of Shakespeare in Arthur's dialogue to Wastrels.
