We happy few ending discussion and question

Recommended Posts

So compulsion games always said that the main objective is to escape the city if you played the pre alpha and successfully escaped you know that the game goes into a black screen and you hear the main protagonist calling someone and asking him is it him or something I know the game is pre alpha but they dont talk much about the main story/campaign of the game

The game has a lot potential with his story very creative and original

It will fell very empty without deep/solid story

So my question is (if someone knows) will there be any continuation after you go into this black screen/escape the city from story perspective ?

There will be three playable Downers, each with their own motives and objectives, when the game hits full release. So it can be expected that the completion of one story will lead into the events of the next.

Currently all that is known of the narrative is Arthur looking for his brother Percy, and then we have Ollie the Scotsman and The Enigma (name unknown).

But until full release the ending of the game in Early Access will not be a solid wrap-up, and will lead into the full release of the game.

@Protagonist, Ahh, but see Julian Casey is already Uncle Jack, and just this past week it was announced that they'd just found a voice actor for Percy. So that theory doesn't really hold any water.

Well, did they say there won't be any kind of flashbacks or audio datas? A younger person's voice is different to its older ego.. so perhaps. you have still two voice actors... but it's the same person ;-)

Young Percy had a voice actor (you could hear him in the E3 demo), adult Percy just got one. And they've been searching for the past 4-5 months for him. So from a production standpoint it's really not logical.

We casted a young Percy. We wouldn't talk about anything that's not yet in the game...

I was kind of joking about the Uncle Jack thing-it would be a rather cliche plot twist. A better plot twist might be: Turns out, the world you see when you're on joy is actually the real world and the world you see when you're off joy is actually a chronic hallucination that Joy is used to treat.

Though, this would also be a pretty predictable twist.

@protagonist

What if the game's world is actually suffering from a widespread outbreak of people coming down with Asperger's Syndrome and the way we see the world without Joy is just they way Downers see it? As sh*t? xD
