PC Player (Steam) - italian

Ver.  1.7.79954

I wanted to start the new DLC right after the download.. The screen in blue starts with the silhouettes of roger and james (and theremin sounds). Immediately after a black screen with a save symbol playing at the top right and a sound (I can't define what, nothing appears on the screen, but it makes me understand that it's starting the game)

suddenly I get catapulted into my desktop. The game has been interrupted. No error message or anything. I've tried several times but the result is always the same. Could you solve?

I tried all the solutions proposed by email and by gearbox (update Windows and do clean GPU installation), but I still have the same problem 😭

Perhaps it may also be useful to see what exactly happens. I recorded when I try to start the DLC. As you can see, only one music starts, but there are no voices or images ... nor are there any messages about the game crashing. I also tried to set the English language (maybe the problem is subtitles?), but nothing.

If the DLC is not showing as available for you and you already own a season pass, you should be able to access it by following these steps:

1 - Close We Happy Few

2 - Search for "They Came From Below" on the PS Store

3 - If you own the DLC or the Season Pass, there should be a "Download" button on the store page

4 - Download the DLC from the store

5 - Once the Download completes, launch We Happy Few

6 - Navigate to the DLC menu and you should now be able to play They Came From Below

There are a small number of PC Steam users who are experiencing this issue and we're still looking into what may be causing this.

Hi @Lee

I haven't used Steam for a while (for academic commitments) but several months have passed and today, returning to steam, I noticed that new Archivements are coming (and therefore the new DLC).I don't know if you remember the nature of my problem, but I wanted to know if there was any news about a possible solution. There have been innovations in time to make the DLC compatible as the basic game does?

I remember the issue. I believe your RAM and GPU were below the minimum system requirements for the game.

Unfortunately we are still unable to provide support for systems which do not meet the minimum required specifications for the game. (Those specifications can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/320240/We_Happy_Few/)

 

We run compatibility testing for various hardware configurations in order to make sure the game runs on a wide array of systems, however those tests are not performed on systems which fall below our minimum requirements.

It's possible the Lightbearer DLC will be playable on your system (as is the case for the main game) however it's also be possible you'll have the same issue that you encountered with the They Came From Below DLC. There's simply no way for us to know without testing it on your specific system, which at the time you contacted us did not meet the minimum hardware requirements.

 

Officially we cannot support systems which do not meet the game's minimum system requirements. As a result, we will very likely not be making changes to the DLCs in order to make those playable on lower end systems. I'm sorry to have to tell you this.

PS4 - australia.

have WHF on a physical disc, have finished the entire game, bought We All Fall Down through the PSN - will not install through the console downloads screen, open up the game and does not appear available to play in the DLC option in the menu. when i click “start” through the PS4 downloads screen - say “cannot find application” and takes me to the PSN store to buy the base game despite the disc being in the console and everything.

have started the game up and attempted to install with game running but still getting the exact same response that the application is not there. couldn’t buy the DLCs through the game either - could only get them on the PSN.
