Possibility of a Sneak Kill?

This may sound dark of me, but I'm wondering if we will we ever be able to sneak up on someone and kill them instead of just simply knocking them out temporarily? It may be overpowered asking for something like that so I can understand if not, but sometimes I just want someone to never get up again without attracting a bunch of attention :P

I like the new non-lethal takedown system, to be honest. It adds a certain level of challenge.

 

Used to you could enter a house, choke out the inhabitants and instantly make it into a base. Now you have to stop and think. Eventually they will wake up again. Do you knock them out, and then throw them out into the back alley to lock them out and claim their home? Or do you leave them so you can just pilfer what you need and get out.

 

You have to think about what you're going to do in the long run. Are houses with security systems a better place to set up base? While they can be defended and trapped the alarms still bring Bobbies that can overrun you. That's why I like the non-lethal system.

 

That and now I don't feel guilty when all I want to do is nab some food from the cubbard or knick the clothes from the closet.

If I may, just a thought: why not be able to restrain unconscious NPCs with duct tape? Seems to me there's enough of the stuff knocking about that this could be a viable option if implemented, and would do several things:

 

- Poor Arthur and Co. get to keep their consciences (relatively) clean, since technically this would still be non-lethal

- Encourages some strategy and planning, since the player is using up resources doing this

- May encourage more careful handling/hiding of bodies, as you could implement a mechanic where restrained NPCs can be freed if discovered

I actually like this idea, it'll really make those of us who would like a non violent playthrough possible.
