Greetings Wellies!

 

(This is what we call the people of Wellington Wells, which now includes you.)

 

Jolly good day for it. If you're out and about, and are looking for some things to do, might I suggest you use these controls:

 

In-game

 

wasd – move / strafe

mouse – look around

space bar – jump / mantle (hold)

shift – sprint

control – crouch

c – crouch (toggle)

 

mouse 1 – attack (hold to charge if you have a weapon)

mouse 2 – block / parry

mouse 3 or r - shove

f – switch to quickslot

mouse wheel – cycle through quickslot items

1, 2 – select weapons

q – holster/unholster your weapon (you should use this)

 

e – use / interact

v - secondary use / interact

 

esc – access the menu

tab or i – access inventory

b - access crafting

 

In the inventory

 

right click to auto equip (a weapon will equip in the main weapon holsters, a consumable will equip in the quickslots)

double click to use (eg food, painkillers, water)

(note that status and journal screens are not currently implemented, you also can’t swap items)

Also: we are planning to have customizable controls, but implementing the UI for this is waiting on us implementing proper menus.

 

However, the key bindings are still configurable, if you don't mind a bit of text editing. You can use the engine's built-in configuration files to remap whatever you want. You'll need to open up your Input.ini file, which can be found in the game's user data folder. The easiest way to reach it is to paste %localappdata%\GlimpseGame\Saved in the address bar of a Windows Explorer window:

Then navigate to Config\WindowsNoEditor, and open up Input.ini using a plain text editor (notepad works for this, I would not use word). Paste this section containing the default settings at the end:

Hello!

 

If you prefer to play with a gamepad, here are the controls:

 

right trigger: attack

left trigger: block

right shoulder: use quickslot item

left shoulder: equip/holster weapon

 

dpad: up/down to change weapon (if more than one holster is available), left/right to change selected quickslot

 

X: interaction, use in inventory

Y: secondary interaction

B: crouch / cancel in menu

A: jump / select in menu

 

left stick click: sprint

right stick click: shove

 

back: inventory

start: main menu

 

Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers should work well out of the gate, but PS4 or other controllers are not yet supported.
