  1. Anybody else streaming? I'm finally getting back around to having time to engage in discussions and watch others enjoy the game. It's hard to believe I've been playing it for almost two years.
  2. I just wanted to say that The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas is one of my favorite short stories of all time. Nothing else to add, really.
  3. @Naila, Purified Water is no longer among the recipes.
  4. Finally had the time to get in a couple hours of gameplay and WOW! This just keeps getting better and better. Pros Love all of the new recipes. Managed to make a Spiked Cricket Bat. Truly awesome. One hit kill at the right angle, no charging required. The music, it really enhances the experience. Reminds me of the movie Brazil. The "It's tiiime!" guy. Actually, both of them. Very creepy. I love that there are more options for food. Cons In the first build there weren't any bridges to the Garden District, only bridges to other Wastes. I had to cheat and employ flight to confirm and make my way to the Garden District. In all of the builds I played through the people were virtually impossible to hit. They would sometimes dodge, but even when totally still and my fist/weapon appearing to make contact, there was no effect. I only successfully hit once for every four or five strikes. Impossible to find a canteen, and it seems like now he's dropping the canteen after drinking it? Or maybe there's a difference between a container of purified water you find and filling a canteen from the tap? Either way, had to keep making trips to the Waste where I could only drink from the tap. Questions/comments I noticed there isn't a recipe for purified water anymore, is that a permanent change or is it being altered? Any plans to have the alcohol affect Arthur? Maybe it can better offset thirst at the expense of getting drunk? Can't walk/run straight, blurry vision, passing out? Will there be more food recipes in future builds? I liked being able to turn raw meat into jerky, any other options for the other rotten/rancid/strange food? I don't like that this seems more negative than positive, because the Pros are just a few things that stand out; I'm thoroughly enjoying the game. Think of it this way, everything not on the Con list is a Pro. It's working the way it's supposed to.
  5. I assume the lack of guns is to keep the game realistic. This takes place in England, not Texas.
  6. @hiroyuki232 yeah. You remove the power cell from the home security and replace it with an anti-future device. You can pass freely through the (now blue) particles, while Wellies and Bobbies go POOF. It also obliterates their loot so it doesn't help you move forward in your mission, but it does help you get out of a mob situation.
  7. You don't need to be on Joy in order to avoid attacks, it just helps. And seeing you "coming down" when the Joy wears off alerts Wellies, so try to get out of sight when things start going grey and blurry. If you're just walking through the town, occasionally talking to Wellies, there may be some suspicion of you but they won't attack unless you draw too much attention, e.g. running, jumping, breaking in, attacking someone. The Criers are more sensitive, but a wave and Talk can often allay their suspicions. Oh, and crafting a Fancy Suit will allow you to do almost anything without drawing suspicion, from Wellies and even the Downers in the Garden District.
  8. When is the next update coming?
  9. Actually, no. I have no clue how to mold. That mask was made for me for something else. They actually had to make two because the first one wasn't perfect.
  10. I, too, go all out for cosplay So I'm keeping a close eye on this thread. I may just end up appropriating this mask It's already moulded to the shape of my face.
  11. Well, for me, when I find a house with a locker but I have to go looking for metal bits to make a lockpick, it can sometimes be hard to find that house again unless I'm paying close attention, so being able to click where i am on the map and leave a mark would be helpful, saving lots of time, hunger, and thirst. Don't want to make the game too easy, but if I had a map I would definitely mark it up. At least that's what comes to my mind when I read the phrase.
  12. While I do like the combo of a rock + cricket bat, I have to say that my favorite weapon is the Anti-Future Device. No muss, no fuss, and leaves behind the fresh scent of pine. What about everyone else? What's your favorite weapon in this wonderful game?
