  1. At least with the wastrels I found after they die if the corpse is on top of leaves or a manhole cover the same texture gets overlaid on the corpse. I noticed one and tested with another body to confirm it.
  2. First off I really like the whole process of breaking into a house, trying to case it from outside to spot laser traps or if anyone is home. Its almost more exciting to get caught and figure how to get out of trouble. I had a fun chase that resulted in me jumping out of a third story window as I was chased by a swarm of Wellies. It leads to really cool emergent stories. But there are some things that are a little awkward about it. It feels like I should be able to duck under lasers in the hallway as it looks like they are the right level for that but instead I set off an alarm and take a lot of damage. Also sometimes its really hard to get in back windows as the furniture will be really close to the window and pretty much completely stop me from getting in (I can unlock the door from the inside while sitting in the window though.) Also, and this may just be part of a gameplay mechanic I am missing, it seems impossible to tell how people will react to you being in their home. Sometimes they attack on sight others they are perfectly ok with it. Finally I have noticed that Wellies tend to stick around in houses after responding to alarm. I would break into a house and get caught and then run out and thought I would come back later only to suddenly discover there was around 8 just hanging out who immediately swarmed and killed me. I had thought they would scatter and go back to walking the street. It makes it feel like getting caught in a house results it it being permanently off limits. It would be cool if perhaps the cops could watch a house after an attempted robbery but its weird to have the civilians sticking around for so long.
  3. They have a post about the controls for the game, here's a link (http://compulsiongames.com/forum/discussion/37/controls#latest) hope that helps until keybinding is in. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure if an enemy dies holding a weapon you can usually find it on their corpse instead of on the ground. I've seen them drop the weapon on death and then it disappears but found I it when I searched the body. Good luck on your next runs!
  4. I felt a little bad about using the exploit but I had also just learned how much damage you take jumping out of 2 story building.
  5. I realized that drinking bottled water from the pumps in the Garden District heals you, but just drinking the water straight from the pump does it. I was able to fully heal from almost dead by just drinking and refilling a single bottle. Not sure if this is an exploit that you want to address or not but I'm wondering if just drinking the clean water should slowly refill your health
  6. So my first few games I tried to leave the Garden District as soon as possible but now I am starting to realize it has some good reasons to stick around at first. Things I have learned: -Its pretty easy to find healthy plant leaves to craft some healing balm before things get more dangerous(look for the pink plants if you can't find them) -The water from the spouts in the Garden District don't have Joy in them so you can find some empty bottles around to fill up so you can re-hydrate without getting too hopped up on Joy -Stockpile some sticks so you can have a weapon. They break easy but its certainly better than nothing so just grab a bunch. Those are the main reasons I can think of for sticking around the Garden District at this time but I am sure there is more to be discovered.
  7. I will admit I was being rather impatient. I waited for a couples minutes and its all good now! Thank you
  8. When I hit new game it loads and the UI appears and seems to function but I can't see anything else, just a black screen. I can open my inventory as well. These are my specs: EVGA X58 sli mobo i7-920 quad corsair dominator ram (8 gigs) EVGA gtx 570
